Life is full of stress and angst today. From a business standpoint, there are tariffs on the imports and exports of all kinds of products. These taxes are making it nearly impossible for some organizations to stay afloat. As if that wasn’t enough, there are also international problems galore. Various countries are worried about the United States and Iran becoming entangled in a military conflict. Not to mention, North Korea’s nuclear weapons, Russian voter hacking, and the Venezuelan presidential situation are all concerns as well.

Today’s workforce is not the same as it once was. Many baby boomers are hitting retirement age and being ushered out of companies everywhere. Meanwhile, those from Generation X are still hanging around performing their duties as asked. Then, there is the newest edition of millennials entering the labor force. Often, when persons hear the word spiritual, religion is the first thing that pops into their mind. However, being a spiritual entrepreneur doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with particular faiths or beliefs. Rather, these people take a love-and-compassion approach to business. Although some folks may believe that a compassionate leader is someone that employees can walk all over, this assumption is usually wrong. While these persons tend to promote a compassionate and person-centered organizational culture, they are also capable of laying down the law and enforcing rules and policies when necessary.
