The Four Cs Of A Great Leader

August 25, 2017 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

The Four Cs Of A Great Leader Are you a great leader? It’s a question that we here at Technalink feel deserves much more attention than it normally receives. That’s because for today’s businesses, the kind of leader steering the company will have a huge impact on the success or failure of that company.

But what is interesting is that many people who feel that they’re great leaders can’t actually explain why that is. Sure, a big profit or huge salary may feel great and signify some success, but are you truly a great leader? One that leads their employees with soulful leadership that impacts their lives in meaningful ways?

With that in mind, here are the four ‘Cs’ that show that you’re a truly great leader.

  • Compassion – Soulful leadership begins with compassion. Everyone has had a boss that they were afraid of and that they didn’t like. The reason is simple – fear doesn’t equal respect or success. Today’s best leaders lead with compassion, knowing that their company’s employees need to be treated with respect and dignity.
  • Connected – Do you know the names of your employees? What about their personal lives or families? You don’t’ have to show up to Thanksgiving dinner, obviously, but those who are great leaders are those who have direct connections with their employees. Those connections can only be forged through taking the time to get to know your team and finding out more about the people behind the desks.
  • Communicative – Good, soulful leadership also directly comes from strong communication. Making sure to give employees the ability to talk to you translates to better understanding of how your company works and where it can improve.
  • Creative – Great businesses don’t just grind away in the same ways every day. Instead, you need to be innovative and receptive to change. Listen to your employees, but don’t be afraid to listen to your heart as well. If something seems like it’s worth doing, it might be. Get creative with your approach to managing employees and leading your business. It could help dramatically.

All in all, being the best leader possible will help your company in huge ways. From improved levels of productivity to reduced turnover rates, a lot of advantages will be experienced by those who take the time to grow and develop their own capabilities as business leaders. Keep the information above in mind and you should be able to start taking steps towards doing just that. It’s a process you won’t regret starting.
