Full self well-being requires the nourishment of your mind, body, and soul. When your work life balance suffers, stress and anxiety set in, and you find yourself feeling out of center, you might know it’s time to invest a little time into self-care. You can nourish your body with healthy comfort foods, exercise, and quality sleep. You can nourish the mind with a good book, like The OM Factor now on audiobook, a playlist, or mindful meditation. Nourishing the spirit, however, might not be as clear for many.
Rejuvenation for your spiritual side can be a bit more complex, or a bit less obvious. At Technalink, a few tips we use to help our teams to feed their spirits are:
- Try being of service – Serving others, listening to them, and providing yourself to help them can be a particularly nourishing experience for the spirit. It connects you on a deeper level with those around you and puts into perspective the beauty of these connections you can find every day. Volunteering a little time in the community doing something that you’re passionate about can help you to better get in touch with your spiritual side.
- Spend some time in nature – Experiencing your natural surroundings lets you experience not just the connections you have with other people, but with the world around you. Listening to the sounds and hearing your spirit express joy in its connection with the rustling of the trees, the chirping birds, and all of the life surrounding you invokes almost instant spiritual rejuvenation.
- Practice simple meditation – Not all meditation needs to be guided by affirmations or with a specific purpose in mind. If you find yourself feeling disconnected from your spiritual side, simple quiet meditation can help you to rebuild these connections. Simply sit back, focus on your breath, and feel your spirit come forth. Allowing your thoughts to happen gives your spirit a voice. Joining spiritual retreats California may also help rejuvenate your spirituality.
A few quiet moments are all you really need to rebuild and rejuvenate your spiritual self. Stress and anxiety chips away at our well-being, and it’s important to not forget the nourishment of the spirit alongside your physical and mental self.
