Autumn is a transitional season, and it’s a time for grounding. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with your sense of self, as well as the world around you. Mindfulness in your life is one way to reconnect with your center and the natural world, and mindful meditation is a simple way to put yourself in that centered place.
At Technalink, we encourage using stones to bring different energies to your mindful meditation. Grounding stones for centered energies are perfect for reconnecting with your authentic self during this transitional time. Some grounding stones you can incorporate into your meditations this fall are:
- Tigers Eye – Tigers Eye is one of the most well-known and oft-used grounding stones in centering meditations. Along with connecting you to your authentic self, Tigers Eye can enhance your sense of integrity, improve willpower, and provide clarity when you’re facing tough decision-making situations. A stone for new beginnings, it’s the perfect way to bring yourself into your autumnal meditations.
- Hematite – Hematite is an earth stone, with energies that are made to keep you connected directly to the earth around you. Like Tigers Eye, it’s often used for providing mental clarity and guidance while you’re faced with difficult decisions.
- Smokey Quartz – Clear Quartz for clarity, Rose Quartz for compassion, and Smokey Quartz for grounding, this family of stone is renowned for its meditative powers. Smokey Quartz is considered to be a spiritually grounding stone, using a high vibrational energy to ground the very spirit from the inside of your authentic self. If unhelpful thought patterns or high anxiety are keeping you from keeping grounded, these high vibrations can help to clear away any spiritual “clutter” you may be feeling.
- Agate – Agate isn’t just a grounding stone, it’s also a harmony stone. It helps to provide balancing energies to your meditation, providing a sort of connectedness that extends through your mind, body, and spirit. It helps to eliminate excess energy that crowds your spiritual clarity, with a low calming vibration that works well alongside additional meditation stones.
There is no wrong time for grounding, but the changing of the season is a great time to remind yourself to keep connected. This connectedness with self, with the world around us, and with the mind, body, and spirit creates a complete sense of balance you can feel throughout your everyday life.
