Everybody needs a break. • If you are a person who loves doing physical activities, then exercising is the right activity for you. Yes, that is right. You can reduce stress by moving your body. Physical activities such as exercising release endorphins which are known to help relieve pain and stress, and trigger a positive feeling in one’s body.
Choose an activity that best suits you. It can be as simple as jogging or cycling. But if you are into sports, you can also choose to do that instead. Invite friends to play with you to make it more fun.
• You can also opt to de-stress in the comfort of your own home. We often take a bath to prepare for the day or before going to sleep. What most people do not know is that this simple activity can take your stress away.
Prepare a warm bath soak, play some music, and have a spa-like experience in your bathroom. You can also add bath salts or essential oils in your bath water for a more calming effect.
• Another activity known to relieve stress is meditation. You can do this in a quiet place that is free from distractions. You can even do it daily. Ten minutes of meditation can go a long way. You can either sit or lie down. Close your eyes, relax your muscles, forget all your worries, and breathe through your nose.
