How Women Entrepreneurs Can Meditate In A Noisy Environment

March 12, 2018 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

How Women Entrepreneurs Can Meditate In A Noisy Environment At Technalink, we try to keep a quiet, peaceful environment but must admit that throughout the hustle and bustle of a workday, it can get a tad noisy at times. We have a soft spot for women entrepreneurs who love to meditate but have a hard time finding a spot to do so. We understand how tough it can be to find a place in the office for a mid-day meditative session or a spot at home for a morning or evening session. As a woman entrepreneur, if you’re not able to find a quiet spot, you should consider these tips to help you learn how to meditate in a noisy environment.

Acknowledge That The Noise Exists

Meditation is about relaxing and maintaining your focus. Much like other tasks that you face as a woman entrepreneur, the more you fight it or push it away, the more it will continue to pester you. The only way to overcome noise in a meditative environment is by acknowledging and accepting its existence in the first place.

If a distraction arises while meditating, remain in your focused state and gradually take your attention toward the noise. Once you’ve acknowledged the noise, return back to your rhythmic breathing. This will help your mind settle, relax, and maintain focus.

Try Headphones

For those just beginning to meditate, this can be an effective tool to help reduce the outside noise in your environment. As you get better at your practice, you’ll eventually learn how to harness the noise on your own. But if the alternative to using headphones is not meditating at all, we are all for you using relaxing background noise.

Over time, you can reduce the volume in your headphones until it is barely audible. Similarly, you eventually may not need music at all. Noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs may be enough to block out background noise.
