By now, many leaders out there are already aware of the fact that spiritual management can bring some very big benefits to a company including things like increased worker morale, better productivity, improved communications, and more. But at Technalink, we’ve noticed that a surprising number of business leaders don’t really understand what kind of tools or resources to give to their team to promote spirituality in the workplace.
It doesn’t have to be difficult, however. There are numerous resources and tools out there that can make it easier than ever to improve spirituality in the workplace and become a master of spiritual management. Here are a few of our favorite things to implement.
- Time – Time is where it all starts. Yes, businesses value their time and need to use their employees properly while they’re at work. But just setting aside one or two 15 minute breaks for meditation or reflection is enough to give your employees spiritual time and to reset themselves mentally and physically.
- Information – One of the biggest hurdles is just making sure your employees know that they can bring spirituality into the workplace. Whether you have a basic handbook covering the key points, conduct a quick meeting with them, or hand out flyers, giving your employees the knowledge needed to bring their spiritualty to work with them is a key resource worth paying attention to.
- Tools – Something as simple as meditation beads or Mala prayer beads may seem trivial, but they can serve as an anchor for those using them and help keep a clear head and a keen focus on what’s important. Handing these meditation beads out to your team can help promote stronger spirituality in a significant way.
- Quiet Rooms – These are one of the most important things to consider implementing in a business setting. A break room is great, but a break room specifically designed for those looking for silence is even better. You don’t need much space for these rooms, but the benefits can be astounding.
These four basic elements can help you improve the way that you apply spiritual management to your business. From meditation beads to quiet rooms, consider them all and look at which elements fit the best into your company. Chances are that you’ll realize it’s easier than you might think to promote spirituality and growth within a company, and to help your employees thrive in a meaningful way.
