“Weaknesses” Can Be The Key To Success

December 11, 2020 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

"Weaknesses" Can Be The Key To SuccessFor women entrepreneurs, there are a lot of hurdles to overcome. From the fundamental challenges that everyone faces, like work/life balance, to the unique challenges that only women face, such as the dreaded “glass ceiling” and sexism in the business environment, there are always hurdles.

Technalink believes in and supports women entrepreneurs, but it is essential to remember that while the struggle for success is real, the ways to achieve that success are varied. One way to get there is to take what may be deemed deficiencies and use them to your advantage.

Failure Is Education

Failure is a part of life and business. Many people make a crucial error in thinking that mistakes should be avoided, buried, and forgotten. In many ways, failure is where the most learning occurs. Doing something correctly doesn’t present the same perceptions or opportunities that failing does.

Women entrepreneurs should use failure as teachers, learning from these situations, and improving themselves and their business practice as a result.

A Weakness Or Inadequacy May Be An Opportunity

Another area where many fail to perceive a situation’s value is in the perception and treatment of a so-called “weakness.” It’s not unusual for people to view weakness as something that should be hidden that vulnerabilities are impediments to success.

However, weakness or vulnerability can also provide chances for business success. After all, a successful product or service is one that addresses a need. In other words, weakness or vulnerability can be viewed as a problem looking for a solution.

Stress at the workplace, for example, may be addressed by techniques like meditation and using aids, such as mala prayer beads. This can translate into overcoming a perceived weakness and providing a way to improve the entire workplace experience by integrating it into the company culture. Where once there was a vulnerability, that has now been turned into a strength.
