Meditation Should Not Be Mandatory

Meditation Should Not Be MandatoryIf you are striving to be a spiritual entrepreneur, you may have some very valid and personal reasons for being motivated to do so. Technalink is here to help in this regard, but one thing that we are very focused on doing is making sure that bringing mindfulness to your workplace is done the right way. In the same way, that you may have been negatively impacted by negative rules and practices in your workplace, in the same way that you may have even been inspired to leave your job and become a spiritual entrepreneur because of mandatory rules, meditation can do the same thing.

It Must Be Collective

If you’re starting a business with the intention of being a spiritual entrepreneur you are already setting a precedent for respecting individual beliefs and practices. This also includes the choice to not want to participate in meditation, or whatever mindfulness practice you choose to exercise. There may be very good reasons for this, and you must respect that.

One of your coworkers or employees, for example, may have some trauma in their lives that revolves around unwanted physical contact. Forcing that employee to hug others, or be hugged, without consent, because it’s part of your spiritual entrepreneur regimen can only cause more harm than good. Just because the practice of a hug is reassuring and comforting for you, if another person is not yet ready for that, forcing them to do so merely fosters a hostile environment in their minds, and they may be justified in leaving a business that makes them feel this way.

Being a spiritual entrepreneur does not mean enforcing a new a set of mandatory rules that leaves people uncomfortable with their obligations. Meditation can be a powerful tool, but only if the person is actually receptive to what meditation brings. And that can’t be forced.
