Implementing Mindful Meditation Into The Workplace

October 18, 2017 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

Implementing Mindful Meditation Into The Workplace Giving your company all of the advantages possible will be key for helping it grow into something truly remarkable. And at Technalink, we firmly believe that helping your employees start using mindful meditation will be instrumental in doing just that. In fact, supporting employees and providing them with the opportunity to use mindfulness in the workplace can create a huge range of benefits for your company including:

  • Reduced turnover rates
  • Improved morale
  • Lower incidence of employee conflicts
  • And more

The first step to being able to help your team use mindful meditation is simply to understand how to do it yourself. But once you’ve mastered the process, it’s time to introduce it to your team. This isn’t always easy, but using a few techniques and some tools like mala prayer beads, you can make it easier for your team to start using mindful meditation on a regular basis. Here are some steps to remember.

  • Start by explaining the process. Tell your employees what mindful meditation is, why you feel it’s important for them, and answer their questions about it. This way you lay down a foundation that you can build upon.
  • Teach them the basics of mindful meditation. You can explain personally, hand out pamphlets and literature, show videos, or just lead them through a session. The first few times may be rocky, but gradually it will become second nature to them.
  • Set up a specific time each day where you’ll be using mindful meditation. A ten-minute block in the morning or evening is all it takes, and when your team knows that this time will be used for meditation, it’s easier to fall into the routine.
  • If needed, hand out things like mala prayer beads to help them with their meditation. Mala prayer beads can be a kind of spiritual center that will help ground your employees’ minds as they go through the process of meditation.
  • Keep at it. It may take some time to see the true benefits, but once you do it will be hard to ignore.

Your company’s future matters, and making sure that your employees are able to thrive is one of the keys to its success. By using mindful meditation, you’ll be able to start building a better workplace environment for everyone.
