3 Ways To Motivate Employees That You May Not Have Thought Of

3 Ways To Motivate Employees That You May Not Have Thought Of Without motivation, we don’t want to do much, and if you want your employees to work to their full potential, a little motivation is necessary. While there are plenty of ways to motivate employees that you’ve already heard of, there are also a few ways that could be new to you! 3 ways to motivate employees that you may not have thought of are:

  1. Bring in a little weird fun – Letting loose, having fun, and getting a little weird can be a great motivator for employees! A few simple ways to do this would be to have a PJ day once a quarter, where employees come to work in their PJs, host a pumpkin carving contest around Halloween, or host a white elephant gift exchange for the holidays. What these sort of eccentric practices can provide is a way for employees to really get to know one another, and let loose in an effort to stay motivated on the important tasks at hand.
  2. Have a rest area – A rest area shouldn’t be confused with a restroom, and it should be a quiet separate area where employees can gather their thoughts, meditate, or even take a short nap. When things get tough, and motivation runs low, this can provide a great centering space, where motivation reserves can be refilled.
  3. Write a handwritten note – Handwritten notes are so simple and so powerful, and writing a little note to employees who have been really hitting it out of the park can be a great motivator. Whether it’s for a small milestone, or a big one, taking time to write a thank you note can make all the difference.

Motivation keeps the team going, and learning how to inspire motivation in creative ways can really freshen up the atmosphere at the office. Using these and other creative ways to motivate, you’ll soon see how your team responds, and how productivity and creativity are improved because of it!
