What Does Spirituality In The Workplace Mean?

January 25, 2016 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

What Does Spirituality In The Workplace Mean?A spiritual workplace is a workplace that not only acknowledges the bodies of employees, but their spirits as well. Many seem to think that workplace spirituality refers to one religion or another, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Those of all creeds can celebrate a spiritual workplace, and do so in harmony as everyone respects one another and how they can grow their spiritual selves! At Technalink, we know what kind of benefits a spiritual workplace brings, and we want to share with you just what a spiritual workplace is, so that you can reap the benefits as well!

The most important thing to remember about a spiritual workplace is that the inner person is nurtured just as much as the outer person. Growth leads to productivity, and growth is something that’s done from the inside, so the spirit must be nurtured in order to inspire the type of growth that benefits professionally. Compassion is shown, people are encouraged to work together, and communication is always kept open and honest in a spiritual workplace to keep connections pure and strong.

In a spiritual workplace, time may be given for employees to connect with their inner selves, and exercises may be done to create the communication and the positive atmosphere necessary for spiritual and inner growth. What leaders and employees alike will find is that through this focus on spirituality, the workplace morale and corporate culture will improve, driving a company to a more positive overall place.

A spiritual workplace doesn’t need to focus on one spiritual belief or practice, and all can be respected equally as employees enrich their own spirituality and build who they are personally and professionally. In a spiritual workplace, it’s the person who is nourished from the inside out, and each person will feel inspired to drive the business forward in a positive fashion!
