How Mindfulness Can Ease Anxiety

May 6, 2022 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

How Mindfulness Can Ease AnxietyAnxiety can be mentally exhausting and can significantly impact your body. The good news is that it has been found that simple mindfulness practice is a great way to ease anxiety and calm your mind.

Here are a few ways to practice mindfulness throughout the day while easing anxiety symptoms.

Meditation or Mindfulness Practice

Meditation is easy to do and can be accomplished at any time of the day. Simply find a seat in an area where you feel safe and calm.

Set a time limit for how long you plan to meditate and focus on your breathing. You need to pay attention to all of your physical sensations while staying in the present moment.

Meditation beads and stones are also good to use during meditation and help keep you focused. Beads that are wood scented, like Mala Beads Rudraksha Seeds, can be used to involve the sense of smell during meditation.

And Rose Quartz beads are often used to combine the powers of the stones with meditation and symbolize the thread of life.

Go for a Walk

Taking a walk is another simple mindfulness trick you can use to help ease anxiety. When outdoors, pay attention to the sounds around you and the feel of the wind and the smells in the air. Be in the moment and stay in the moment by focusing on all your senses.

Journaling

Keeping a journal is a good way to get your thoughts out. Doing so can help tame an otherwise cluttered and swirled mind, freeing you of thoughts that threaten to worsen your anxiety symptoms. A gratitude journal is a great place to start.

As you can see, mindfulness and meditation are two great ways to disconnect from external influences and focus on yourself and being in each moment. It can help lower stress levels, ease the symptoms of anxiety, and free your mind so you can focus on the tasks at hand.
