Remember That Everything Is Connected

June 3, 2019 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

Remember That Everything Is ConnectedWhen we talk about spiritual management, most people imagine this about integrating more spiritual techniques into a business setting to create a more harmonious, cooperative environment. That is a completely fair assumption to make, but it’s also important to remember that that spirituality did not come from a business setting; it came from elsewhere, and it applies to other things.

This is why we believe it’s important when thinking about spiritual management to remember that, like the human body itself, this is a holistic process, and everything is connected to everything else. For example, someone interested in good health, takes the time to exercise, and carefully monitors a diet, and even tries to get eight hours of sleep, but who works too hard, doesn’t take time off on weekends, and even continues to work when sick is going to undo all that careful exercise and dieting.

The Holistic Approach

The same thing is true when it comes to spiritual management. If someone takes spiritual management techniques, for example, and applies all this learning to make a better workplace, but neglects the home and family life, these effects are not compartmentalized. Issues at home will come to work, and vice versa.

This is why it is important to bring spirituality into every aspect of your life, not just at the office, where it can provide some benefits to maintaining employee harmony. That harmony can apply to family life too, and the same techniques that may be good at defusing potentially damaging conflicts in a work setting can help to keep the peace in the home as well.

There’s Always Time For Meditation

One of the best examples of this is how effective meditation can be in unorthodox settings, like a few quiet minutes in the office. It can be a great tool for helping to defuse stress and help people to find their center again. Moreover, these same techniques can be applied at home when things are too hectic.

As with the workplace, there is a certain rhythm and regularity to the way a home operates, with quiet times and busy times. In the same way that you may have found those intervals when meditation at the workplace was more viable for a few moments, you can apply that same thinking to the home life. NativePath also offers food supplements that may help boost your physical health and mental well-being.

This also applies the spiritual management techniques that you’ve cultivated. The approach may have to change somewhat, based on the age of the people being dealt with, but a thoughtful, compassionate approach is always going to be more productive than a confrontational, controlling one. When it comes to children, a spouse, or even an extended family with the politics that that entails, these management techniques can be surprisingly effective when taken out of the office and applied in the home.

Remember Why You Do What You Do

Perhaps the most important thing about remembering that everything is connected is to apply that to your feelings about both work and home. Your dream may have been to become an entrepreneur and run a successful business, but that dream didn’t come at the cost of a family, for example. You managed to live a life where both exist, and if you have a partner and children that you are living and loving with, they are not somehow disconnected from your professional life.

Your love for your home life can often be the cornerstone that motivates you at work, and the work that you do can be the warm feeling of accomplishment that bring home and share with your family. Everything in your life is connected, and have a richer, fuller, easier to manage life when you work with this basic fact, rather than against it.
