Using Soulful Leadership To Keep Your Workplace Healthy

September 28, 2018 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

Using Soulful Leadership To Keep Your Workplace HealthyOne of the most important keys to success for any business is maintaining a happy, healthy workplace environment. Doing so will be vital for keeping your business moving towards the future in a positive way. And at Technalink, we’ve seen that one of the best ways to keep a healthy workplace environment is to use soulful leadership in everything that you do.

Soulful leadership is just what it sounds like – using your spirituality and soulfulness to drive your business decisions and processes forwards. There are several key ways that you can implement soulful leadership to get better results from your workplace. When you use soulful leadership to build a better working environment, you’ll notice things like lower turnover rates, improved morale, better productivity, fewer workplace conflicts, and more respect from your team.

But how can you use soulful leadership effectively? Here’s a rundown of some of the main things that are worth doing to keep your workplace happy and healthy.

• Discipline Wisely – Your disciplinary guidelines are in effect for good reason. But when something comes up in a person’s life, it’s often better to approach things with a more soulful approach. For example, if a sickness causes an employee to miss time from work, you may not want to use the same approach to attendance that you would if they simply called out due to some trivial reason.

• Talk – Staying in communication with your team is one of the fundamentals to good, soulful leadership. If you build better lines of communication with your team, you’ll see better results from them on a regular basis. Communication is key.

• Get Your Hands Dirty – You can also take steps to get your hands dirty. Not literally, of course, but when you get out there and work alongside your team, you’re showing them that you actually care and that you practice what you preach.

• Use Quiet Time – Whether it’s used for meditation, prayer, or just taking a few minutes for personal reflection, consider using five minutes at some point in the day for your employees to take time for themselves. This can let you connect with your own spirituality as well as letting them do so. Adding things like Quartz mala beads to your employee’s inventory can help them get even more from this time.

The main thing to remember here is simple – let your spirituality guide you as you lead your team. Doing so will be all that it takes to show them that you are serious about your spiritual leadership and that you really care about their future with your business.
