When Is The Best Time Of Day To Meditate?

March 26, 2018 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

When Is The Best Time Of Day To Meditate? At Technalink, we believe that working meditation into a daily routine is important for women in business. If you’re looking to do so, consider these times throughout the day that other women in business have found to be successful.

First Thing In The Morning

We find that this method is most effective for those who are just beginning to meditate. It will take time to learn how to meditate properly and to learn how to connect with your inner self. This can be daunting, especially if you try to meditate in the middle of the workday when bogged down with distractions. For that reason, meditating in the morning before your day gets busy may prove to be effective. Morning meditation can leave you energized and focused, ready to accomplish whatever tasks may stand in your way that day.

Over Your Lunch Break

Many find that meditating over a lunch break is the best way to refocus on the rest of the day ahead. Many women in business have meetings in the morning, which can turn particularly stressful. Meditation in the middle of the day can help you let go of the stresses of the morning hours, allowing you to tackle the afternoon with increased vigor. We think you’ll find that mid-day mediation will boost your productivity, creativity, and focus.

At The End Of The Workday

If mid-day meditation helps you clear the tension and stress of the morning, an end-of-day meditation session allows you to clear the stresses of the entire day. It can be perfect for those struggling to find a work-life balance. Try meditating before leaving the office, or as soon as you get home. This is a great way to tell yourself that the workday is over and that it’s time to focus on your home and family life. Meditation at this time can create a natural boundary that many have found to be effective.

The Choice Is Yours

Ultimately, the best time to meditate is up to you. Some people meditate when they need it, while others make it a point to work it into their schedule. If you’re not a morning person, you may find that meditation is a great way to wake up. Or, you may find that meditating in the morning is ineffective because you are too groggy and not yet awake. No two people are alike, so what works for one person may not work best for you. And since meditation is about finding your inner self, you are the most important person to consider on this journey.

We recommend trying some different times until you find a time that works best for you. It doesn’t necessarily have to be any of the times we just provided. If meditating at 11:00 AM works best for you, then go for it! Meditation is all about helping you maintain a clear mind. Only you know how to best do that.
