Spiritual management is something that we at Technalink strive to achieve in our day to day operations, and we know that if you’re reading this, it’s something that you’ve given a lot of thought to as well. But we’d like to point out that while the words spiritual management tend to evoke thoughts of mindfulness while on the job, working hard, it’s important to remember that work, like life, is a balance. You need to work to provide something to your life, and in turn, you need to live in order to bring something to your work as well.
Recharge When You Need To
We know that it can be very hard sometimes, especially if you own your own business, to “let go of the reigns” and step away for a while. It can be even harder when being a hard worker is so highly respected in our society. If you’re the boss, it’s even more admired in your employees, because it shows that you’re not willing to work any less hard than the people you’ve brought on board.
But spiritual management is all about taking care of different aspects of your business, not just the strictly fiscal. Your own emotional and psychological well-being are part of that management. While it’s probably not a great idea to be out on the golf course all the time when major decisions need to be made, it’s also very bad if you ignore all other aspects of your life in favor of work.
Taking some time off is not being lazy, especially if exhaustion is beginning to affect your efficiency and your attitude. Spiritual management is just as much about knowing when to pull back and recharge, as it is about making effective but compassionate use of your resources and people. And that includes yourself!
