5 Practices Of Mindful People

January 15, 2018 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

5 Practices Of Mindful People Practicing mindfulness can really help you to grow and develop your compassionate leadership style. Mindfulness is simply defined as a state of awareness, and being aware of not only what is around you but what is inside yourself at the same time. Soulful leadership progression takes a lot of looking within and personal improvement and growth, which mindfulness is perfect for practicing in order to encourage this exact growth you need. 5 practices of mindful people include:

1. Use daily tasks as something more – How often do you perform your daily tasks without doing much thinking at all? Perhaps you even go on autopilot and allow your body to do its thing while your mind is allowed to wander. Mindful people use these daily tasks for moments of introspection, carefully practicing awareness of their normal routine in a way that most people don’t. For women in business, this method can also help to center you as you begin your day.

2. They create and innovate more easily – When you’re mindful and aware, you’re also more likely to create. Mindfulness naturally boosts creativity, and at Technalink we encourage mindfulness when anyone is performing a creative task. As you look within, you’ll see more, and these new things you see can act as inspiration to create something amazing.

3. Calm the mind through breath – As you practice mindfulness, it will begin to become something natural. Mindful people will learn to pay close attention to the rhythm of their breathing, and use this rhythm to calm them in moments of stress or anxiety.

4. They focus on one thing at a time – Multitasking isn’t necessary, and in truth, it could be making you less productive. Mindful people recognize how the stressful nature of multitasking hinders their output, and instead work on one task at a time until they can move on to the next. By doing this, they live in the present, and experience fewer errors, better creativity, and a better work flow.

5. They allow themselves to feel – How often do you block feelings during a typical day because you feel as though they may hinder your performance or your mood? By doing this, you’re putting yourself under unnecessary emotional stress, and simply recognizing the emotion and allowing it to pass naturally is the mindful method of feeling better.
