6 Tricks You Can Use For Self-Motivation

6 Tricks You Can Use For Self-Motivation How can today’s spiritual entrepreneur begin to motivate their team when they can’t seem to keep themselves motivated? At Technalink, we know how important motivation is for compassionate leadership, and we use several different tools and methods to make motivating yourself a bit easier. 6 tricks you can use for self-motivation are:

1. Put yourself in a positive space

Positivity has an incredible effect on motivation. When you’re feeling positive, you’re more likely to get up, get moving, and get those goals accomplished while feeling good about doing so. However, the real trouble lies in getting in that true positive place from time to time. Meditation with a focus on positivity can be used to clear your mind of stresses and encourage a more uplifted mental space, and this can be done in just a few moments from your vehicle, the breakroom, or your office. Celebrating any small achievements or milestones you’ve reached can also work to increase your inner positivity in a very effective way.

2. Set yourself a reward

Rewards can be incredible motivators. Whether for yourself, or for others, knowing that your achievement comes with some sort of physical recognition can lead you to places you never realized your motivation could go. Each day, set yourself a small goal, and if you reach it, treat yourself to a positive simple reward.

3. Find a mentor

Whether in the office, or outside of it, mentorship is a great way to approach motivation in soulful leadership. Having a mentor that you look up to will drive you to want to be better each day, and it’s even better if this mentor relationship works to hold you accountable for your progress as a compassionate leader as well.

4. Start small

Seeing a huge hill you need to scale is overwhelming for anyone. Putting the big stuff first may seem like a smart idea as it “gets it out of the way”, but in truth it will often cause you to lose your motivation as you take on too much. A great simple way to stay motivated is to start small and work your own way up.

5. Treat your mistakes with kindness

Nothing can kill motivation for even the compassionate leader quite like making a few mistakes, but it’s important to treat your mistakes and yourself with kindness. Everyone makes them once in a while, so don’t let a couple of errors make you lose your steam.

6. Compare you to you

Soulful leadership is a progressive journey, so why not compare you to you when you need a little motivation? Seeing how far you’ve come and how better of a leader you are now when compared to where you were can be a highly motivating experience.
