Learn To Be More Mindful In 2017

December 28, 2016 by Alka Dhillon Leave a Comment

Learn To Be More Mindful In 2017A new year is almost upon us, and a goal of ours at Technalink is to always strive to be more mindful each and every year. 2017 could be the year that you embrace spiritual management and soulful leadership, and becoming a more compassionate leader may just be simpler than you think. We want to suggest a handful of simple tips you can use in 2017 to finish out this upcoming year in a place that centers you with yourself, with your co-workers or employees, and with your business.

Setting Sustainable Goals

Whether compassionate leadership is something you’re trying to improve in the New Year or not, setting realistic and sustainable goals for 2017 is incredibly important. First and foremost, this allows you goals that you can reach without burning yourself out or losing your inner balance, and a way to stay focused along the longer path to a bigger finish line. Think of these small goals as stepping stones you can reach, celebrate, and follow in leading you to the bigger picture.

These sustainable goals don’t need to stop at business goals, and we at Technalink fully support setting these goals for your spiritual management, too. Becoming a more mindful leader may not be something that happens overnight, and setting meditation goals, communication goals, and learning goals can be a great help in assisting you on the journey to truly compassionate leadership.

Listen More And Speak Less

One really simple thing you can do to begin the New Year in a spiritually positive way is to listen more and speak less. This doesn’t mean not express how you feel, but to stop to listen with an open mind first. With a truly open mind, you can listen in a way that fosters true communication, rather than a simple expression of ideas. With this type of listening and communicating, you can align yourself with those around you, and you’ll no longer be speaking to them, but speaking with them equally.

Give Yourself Time To Give Yourself Energy

When you give yourself time to re-center and re-balance yourself, you’re giving yourself the spiritual energy you need to grow. With your prayer beads or mala beads in a special location at home or at work, set aside one or two periods of each day that you can use to sit, relax, and energize with simple meditation. During these sessions, you’ll find your ability to lead spiritually will grow, and you’ll learn more about yourself and your own spiritual capabilities every day.
