Understanding Your Personal Role In Business Growth

Understanding Your Personal Role In Business GrowthAs a business owner, people take on understandably integral roles to the progress of the endeavor. Along with planning and designing the operational systems, small business owners also manage every aspect of the company. While this is positive in terms of engagement and becoming and inspiration through action to others, it can sometimes obscure the internal work that is also vital to business growth.

Self And Motivation

At Technalink, we often find it important to distinguish between what we are doing and what we are intending. Although a small business owner who is actively involved is showing an industrious engagement, the underlying intention may be so focused on productivity that it essentially creates a barrier with employees. Thus, even while it is important to put your all into your company, it is also important to know what all you are putting in.

The motivation that small business owners have can act as a positive influence on the company growth and on the employee culture. In this respect, it is important to have intent and action be in alignment, since this also opens people up to become more mindful and receptive of new opportunities. Further, by showing employees that new ideas count, it is also letting business owners extend empowerment to teams in a manner that can continue to advance the company.

Using Alignment

As a result, business owners who approach their endeavor from a place of honesty and openness are also more likely to find alignment with employees and professional partners. Through action in a mindful fashion, there is also a release of the need to control, and the use of alignment connects individuals in a manner where mutual beneficence can be achieved.

Of course, small business owners should always have their heart in the company as well, since this ultimately facilitates the process of mindful action and discovering alignment. However, staying conscious of motivation and letting go of control will also increase the impact of a business owner’s role in the process of corporate growth.
